RMS Sydney is our flagship facility located in the heart of Alexandria, New South Wales. Purpose-built for Dolby Atmos mixing and seamless editorial collaboration, the studio gives filmmakers and showrunners everything they need to craft unforgettable sonic experiences, right in the heart of New South Wales.
Dolby Atmos Mixing Stage
Our flagship Dolby Atmos accredited sound stage, purpose-built from the ground up by Hector and Jeff Bugallo, recreates the acoustics of a premier cinema within a controlled studio environment. Every surface was modelled and tuned by leading acousticians AKA Acoustics to achieve an exceptionally flat frequency response and tight imaging. A 360-degree loudspeaker array, including overhead channels, delivers true three-dimensional playback. Powered by Krix speaker systems and Dolby Atmos, our stage enables mixers to treat every element as an independent “audio object,” placing or moving up to 128 of them anywhere in three-dimensional space and rendering them in real-time to our 49 independently driven speakers, including a full overhead array. The result is a hyper-precise, wrap-around sound field where a helicopter truly swoops overhead and the subtlest whisper stays intimate, no matter where you sit.
