Mortal Kombat II is the Simon McQuoid-directed sequel to the 2021 reboot, throwing Earthrealm's champions — now joined by washed-up action star Johnny Cage — into the deadly tournament that will decide whether Shao Kahn's Outworld conquers Earth. Released May 2026 by Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema, it raises the franchise's signature brutality with expanded lore, new fighters, and an IMAX presentation built for spectacle.
